About the position

Wells Fargo Auto is seeking a Retail Auto Relationship Manager to cultivate and maintain relationships with medium to large and complex auto dealer accounts within the assigned market territory. This role focuses on developing strategies to generate additional revenues, ensuring dealer satisfaction, and managing the profitability and risk of ongoing relationships. The manager will also be responsible for securing any money owed to Wells Fargo Auto and addressing customer complaints, while ensuring that processes align with corporate objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in building and maintaining relationships with medium to large and complex auto dealer accounts.
  • Manage auto applications, loan volume, and overall stability of the credit portfolio of assigned auto dealerships.
  • Establish and maintain dealer relationships and terminate non-performing dealers.
  • Resolve complex situations and exercise independent judgment while adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all levels of internal and external customers, interfacing with management and partners.
  • Assess dealer needs and provide solutions to help them succeed financially.
  • Train and educate dealers on Wells Fargo products and services.
  • Maintain accurate dealer contact information.
  • Partner with other lines of business within Wells Fargo.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Retail Auto Relationship Management experience or equivalent work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong prospecting, sales, negotiation, and influence skills.
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales and service goals to meet organizational and customer goals.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization, including senior management.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Auto finance experience.
  • Previous experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Dealer services or auto finance risk experience.
