About the position

The Retail Banking Summer Intern Program at PNC focuses on developing the next generation of leaders in the financial wellness sector. Interns will gain hands-on experience in various retail banking functions, particularly in Organizational Financial Wellness, which aims to provide comprehensive financial solutions to organizations and their employees. This 10-week program offers exposure to real-world banking operations, sales, and relationship management, while fostering an inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist in banking activities, including researching clients or prospects and creating targeted calling lists.
• Schedule, attend, and/or lead client or prospect appointments.
• Create presentations and/or proposals to move relationships forward.
• Build the client base through proactive, outbound quality sales conversations with organizations and their employees.
• Participate in special projects related to the business and its strategic priorities.
• Engage in social learning by networking with business representatives and peers, and participate in mentoring and community outreach.
• Participate in formal learning to develop necessary skills for the role.

Requirements

• Working toward a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as Finance, Accounting, IT, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, HR, Management, Communications, Business Law, Psychology, Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Actuarial Sciences.
• Sophomore or junior status with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to the role.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sales or customer service roles.
• Familiarity with financial wellness concepts and solutions.
