About the position

The Retail Bike Technician at DICK'S Sporting Goods is a customer-focused role dedicated to enhancing the cycling experience for customers. This position involves building and repairing bicycles, providing expert product recommendations, and promoting company programs. The Bike Technician is expected to create a world-class customer experience through passionate service and engagement, while also maintaining merchandise presentation standards and adhering to safety and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair bicycles according to established procedures.
• Provide strong product recommendations based on personal experience and industry trends.
• Create a world-class customer experience through passionate customer service.
• Promote company programs including warranty sales and loyalty programs.
• Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
• Assist with the assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage in the Bike Department.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety and loss prevention.
• Support the team across the store as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Prior experience of building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
