About the position

The Retail Bike Technician at DICK'S Sporting Goods is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service to cyclists. This position involves building and repairing bicycles, offering product recommendations, and promoting company programs to enhance the customer experience. The Bike Technician plays a vital role in achieving sales goals and maintaining merchandise presentation standards in the Bike Department.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair bicycles according to established procedures.
• Provide strong product recommendations based on personal experiences and industry trends.
• Create a world-class customer experience through passionate customer service and engagement.
• Promote company programs including warranty sales, loyalty programs, and seasonal promotions.
• Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
• Assist with the assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage in the Bike Department.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Support the team across the store as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Prior experience in building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs. occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
