Retail Cashier/Customer Service

About the position

The Retail Cashier/Customer Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing cashier duties in a fast-paced retail environment. This role involves greeting customers, processing transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with sales regulations. Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and thank them for their business.
• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional cashier checkout experience.
• Suggest possible purchases to promote store specials.
• Ring up sales and merchandise, offering available discounts/promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
• Restock shelves, displays, and coolers as needed.
• Clean fast-food area and equipment, and stock as needed.
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling procedures are followed.
• Properly label, rotate, and stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Flexible availability to support business needs for a 24/7 operation including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• A willingness and passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly can-do attitude.
• A history of leading by example and doing the right thing.
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to work collaboratively.
• The ability to think quickly and react to change.
• Must be of legal age to sell regulated products including alcohol and tobacco.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role.
