About the position
The Retail Cashier position at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores involves providing fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers in a fast-paced environment. Cashiers are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, assisting customers, and handling transactions while ensuring compliance with state and local laws. The role offers opportunities for career development and cross-training in various departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide general customer service, including helping customers find items and answering questions about products and services.
- Balance a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities.
- Ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products using various methods and technology.
- Clean the direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas/diesel pumps, and complete trash runs.
- Cross-train in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
Requirements
- Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
