About the position

The Retail Cashier position at ExtraMile involves providing exceptional customer service while managing transactions at the register. Cashiers are responsible for greeting customers, operating the cash register, and ensuring a clean and organized store environment. Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and thank them for their business.
• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional cashier checkout experience.
• Suggest possible purchases to promote store specials.
• Ring up sales and merchandise, offering available discounts and promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
• Restock shelves, displays, and coolers as needed.
• Clean fast-food area and equipment, and stock as needed.
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling procedures are followed.
• Properly label, rotate, and stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older to sell regulated products including alcohol and tobacco.
• Flexible availability to support business needs for a 24/7 operation including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude.
• A history of leading by example and a strong sense of teamwork.
• Ability to think quickly and react to change.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 65 pounds occasionally.
