About the position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Retail & Community Engagement Manager to join our team in St. George, UT. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while engaging with the community. As a Retail & Community Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere in our store, greeting guests, and assisting them with their needs. You will also play a key role in merchandising, which includes daily basket making, stocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the store. Your ability to actively listen to guests and suggest meal and gift items will enhance their experience and encourage repeat visits. In addition to your retail responsibilities, you will engage with local schools and organizations to facilitate fundraising events, such as the Knead Dough Fundraiser. You will collaborate with the marketing team and other leadership to host brand-wide events and individual store events that reflect our commitment to community engagement. This position requires a flexible schedule, as you will need to work during peak hours, especially during the busy holiday season. You will also be responsible for leading a team to execute holiday baskets and merchandise, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude, the ability to work quickly, and a willingness to assist other departments as needed. You will be expected to attend weekly management meetings and contribute to the overall success of the store. Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests to the store.
  • Engage local schools for fundraising events.

  • Stock shelves and maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist front of house restaurant operations when needed.
  • Attend and participate in weekly management meetings.
  • Facilitate partnerships with local businesses to drive sales.

Requirements

  • 1+ years customer service/retail experience.
  • Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, & federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards.
  • Flexible schedule standards to accommodate varying shifts.
