About the position
As a Counter Manager in the Macy's Cosmetics Department, you will oversee all aspects of a cosmetics line, including managing a team of Beauty Advisors. Your role involves engaging with customers to understand their beauty preferences, providing consultations, and applying makeup and products. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets while fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspire teamwork to reach sales goals and enhance customer experience.
- Create lasting connections with customers passionate about cosmetics, beauty, and fragrance.
- Review and analyze business performance of sales results on various time scales.
- Develop and implement business-driving events to achieve department goals.
- Supervise proper presentation, organization, storage, and replenishment of stock.

- Collaborate with vendors for optimal business outcomes and manage vendor events and promotions.

Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in retail or cosmetics sales.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively, providing guidance and support.
- Proficiency in vendor line(s) and beauty trends.
- Strong analytical skills to utilize metrics and analyze detailed reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically to address business challenges.
- Attention to detail in handling daily tasks and examining reports.
