About the position
As a Counter Manager in the Macy's Cosmetics Department, you will oversee all aspects of a cosmetics line, including coaching a team of Beauty Advisors. Your role involves engaging with customers to understand their beauty preferences, enhancing creativity through consultations, and achieving sales targets through effective management and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Inspire teamwork to reach sales goals and elevate the customer experience
- Create lasting connections with customers passionate about cosmetics, beauty, and fragrance
- Review and analyze business performance of sales results
- Develop and implement business driving events to achieve department goals
- Supervise proper presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of stock
- Sell merchandise through effective customer service techniques
- Meet and exceed personal and company sales goals
- Work well with vendors to achieve business outcomes
- Manage vendor events and promotions, including scheduling and execution
- Maintain compliance with all hygiene standards
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively
- Proficiency in vendor line(s) and beauty trends
- Capability to utilize metrics and analyze detailed reporting
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to think creatively and strategically
- Careful attention to detail in handling daily tasks
- Partnership with the Prestige and total Beauty team
