About the position

The Retail Credit Analyst will be responsible for reviewing loan applications and assisting customers throughout the loan process. This role is crucial in maintaining relationships with retailers and ensuring smooth operations in loan transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle new credit applications with precision and speed
• Uphold retailer relationships for smooth operations
• Collaborate with the Processing and Underwriting Departments to manage loan transactions effectively
• Strive to achieve loan-closing quotas
• Communicate and sell loan terms to borrowers
• Review and make decisions on credit applications
• Assist with any problems that arise during the loan process
• Work to reach monthly closing & approving goals
• Stay up to date on changes in loan regulations
• Manage a pipeline of loans from initial review to approval status
• Assist with clerical duties such as reviewing credit applications, assist with loan structuring
• Maintain customer service with our partnered retailers and assist with managing a pipeline of loans

Requirements

• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat is expected
• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is a plus
• Ability to process large volumes of data accurately and efficiently
• Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relations with customers
• Prior experience in call center customer service or sales is a plus
• Familiarity with closing processes in a financial setting is a plus
• Strict adherence to compliance standards and regulations in the financial services industry is a must

Nice-to-haves

• Previous sales experience would be a plus
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
