About the position

As a Senior Customer Experience Associate at Macy's, you will focus on enhancing the customer experience through personalized service and effective selling strategies. This role involves engaging with customers both in-store and virtually, driving sales across various platforms, and collaborating with team members to create a welcoming shopping environment. Your contributions will be vital in achieving sales goals and fostering customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by selling merchandise and meeting customer needs in-store and virtually.
  • Assist customers by making product recommendations based on size, fit, and style, utilizing product knowledge and digital resources.
  • Engage with customers during their shopping journey to build and grow client relationships using outreach tools and social media.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers and store leadership to enhance customer outcomes and gather feedback for improvement.
  • Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems and other store technology to assist in selling and fulfilling customer orders.
  • Collaborate with store teams and community partners to host events that drive incremental sales.
  • Maintain the selling floor presentation and ensure fitting rooms are ready for customers.
  • Receive and set up new merchandise according to visual guidelines and reconfigure store fixtures for new layouts.
  • Perform store opening and closing procedures, including alarm system access and register settlement.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of selling or customer experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of products to provide expert guidance to customers.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers virtually, via phone, and in person.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and achieve sales goals.
  • Familiarity with point of sale technology and applications.
  • Self-driven to keep up with product knowledge and trends through Macy's educational resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with the team to drive sales and enhance customer experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail sales or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms for customer engagement.
