As a Senior Customer Experience Associate at Columbia Mall, you will play a crucial role in prioritizing the customer experience by actively engaging with customers and addressing their needs. You will be responsible for driving sales through cross-category selling across various platforms, ensuring that each customer receives personalized service that enhances their shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include selling merchandise, making product recommendations based on customer preferences, and utilizing digital resources to assist customers in their purchasing decisions. You will also engage with customers both in-store and online, fostering relationships that encourage repeat business and customer loyalty. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with peers and store leadership to problem-solve and create the best possible outcomes for customers. You will be expected to share customer feedback daily to continuously improve the customer experience. Additionally, you will maintain the selling floor presentation according to company directives, ensuring that the store is visually appealing and ready for customers. Your role will also involve performing store opening and closing procedures, managing inventory, and participating in promotional events to drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by selling merchandise and meeting customer needs in-store and through virtual selling.
  • Assist customers by making product recommendations based on size, fit, and style while leveraging product knowledge and digital resources.
  • Engage with customers during their shopping journey to build and grow client relationships using outreach tools and social media.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers and store leadership to problem-solve and enhance customer outcomes.
  • Share customer feedback daily to improve the customer experience.
  • Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems and other store technology to assist in selling and fulfilling customer orders.
  • Partner with store team and community partners to develop and host virtual and in-store events to drive sales.
  • Maintain selling floor presentation and ensure fitting rooms are customer-ready by managing merchandise effectively.
  • Receive and set up new merchandise according to visual guidelines and reconfigure store fixtures for new layouts.
  • Perform store opening and closing procedures, including accessing alarm systems and settling registers.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of selling or customer experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of the products being sold and ability to provide expert guidance to customers.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers virtually, via phone, and in person.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and achieve sales goals.
  • Utilize point of sale technology and applications effectively.
  • Self-driven to keep up with product knowledge and trends through Macy's educational resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with the team to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
