As a Senior Customer Experience Associate, you will play a crucial role in prioritizing the customer experience by actively engaging with customers to meet their needs. You will be responsible for cross-category selling across various platforms, ensuring that customers receive tailored recommendations that enhance their shopping experience. Your role will exemplify the Own Your Style service model, requiring a can-do attitude and a personable approach to customer service. In this position, you will be expected to provide an exceptional customer experience by selling merchandise and addressing any needs that customers may have, whether in-store or through virtual selling. You will assist customers by making informed product recommendations based on their preferences, focusing on size, fit, and style. Engaging with customers during their shopping journey is essential, and you will leverage tools such as My Client and social media to build and grow client relationships. Collaboration with peers and store leadership is key to problem-solving and ensuring the best possible outcomes for customers. You will also be responsible for sharing customer feedback to continuously improve the customer experience. Your daily tasks will include using Point of Sale (POS) systems and other store technology to facilitate sales and fulfill customer orders. You will partner with the store team, vendors, and community partners to develop and host events that drive incremental sales. Maintaining the selling floor presentation according to company directives and ensuring that fitting rooms are customer-ready will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will assist with the receipt and setup of new merchandise, reconfigure store fixtures for visual presentation, and perform store opening and closing procedures, including accessing the alarm system and settling registers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by selling merchandise and meeting customer needs in-store and virtually.
  • Assist customers with product recommendations focusing on size, fit, and style using product knowledge and digital resources.
  • Engage with customers during their shopping journey to build and grow client relationships using outreach tools.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers and store leadership to problem-solve and enhance customer outcomes.
  • Share customer feedback daily to improve the customer experience.
  • Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems and other technology to assist in selling and fulfilling customer orders.
  • Partner with store team, vendors, and community partners to develop and host events that drive sales.
  • Maintain selling floor presentation and ensure fitting rooms are customer-ready.
  • Receive and set up new merchandise according to visual guidelines.
  • Reconfigure store fixtures for upcoming themes and visual presentations.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of selling or customer experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of the products being sold and ability to provide expert guidance to customers.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers virtually, via phone, and in person.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and achieve sales goals.
  • Utilize point of sale technology and applications effectively.
  • Self-driven to keep up with product knowledge and trends through Macy's educational resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with the team to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
