About the position

As a Customer Experience Colleague at Macy's, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the customer experience by actively engaging with customers to meet their needs. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional service and are eager to contribute to the sales goals of the store. You will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide cross-category selling across various platforms, ensuring that customers receive personalized service in all departments. The role requires a proactive approach, embodying the Own Your Style service model, and necessitates a can-do attitude that prioritizes customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with your peers, particularly the At Your Service colleagues, to create a seamless shopping experience and connect customers with Personal Stylists when appropriate. In this dynamic environment, you will leverage your product knowledge and digital resources to educate customers, helping them make informed decisions about their purchases. Your ability to build relationships within the store will be crucial in problem-solving and ensuring the best possible outcomes for customers. You will also be responsible for maintaining department recovery standards, which includes keeping the selling floor and fitting rooms organized and presentable. Adhering to asset protection control and compliance procedures is essential to safeguard the store's assets while delivering an outstanding shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by selling merchandise and meeting any need our customer may have whether its in-store or through virtual selling.
  • Leverage product knowledge and digital resources to increase sales by educating customers in making the best product choices and expanding their merchandise options.
  • Assist the customer in making the best product choices focusing on size and fit in apparel areas.
  • Promote your services by leveraging company social media assets and utilizing the sales promotion calendar to drive sales.
  • Develop and maintain relationships throughout the store in order to problem-solve and create the best possible outcome for the customer.
  • Communicate with the Sales and Customer Experience Manager and provide daily customer feedback to create a better customer experience.
  • Maintain department recovery standards, including selling floor and fitting rooms.
  • Adhere to asset protection control and compliance procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers and management to enhance customer experience.
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital resources and social media for sales promotion.
  • Knowledge of product offerings, particularly in apparel, to assist customers in making informed choices.
