About the position

As a Retail Customer Experience Associate at Macy's, you will focus on enhancing the customer experience through personalized service and effective selling techniques. This role involves engaging with customers both in-store and online, driving sales across various platforms, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. You will be expected to embody the company's service model, ensuring that each customer feels valued and supported throughout their shopping journey.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience by selling merchandise and meeting customer needs in-store and online.
• Assist customers with product recommendations based on size, fit, and style, utilizing product knowledge and digital resources.
• Engage with customers to build and grow client relationships using outreach tools and social media.
• Develop and maintain relationships with peers and store leadership to enhance customer outcomes.
• Share customer feedback to improve the overall shopping experience.
• Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems and other technology to assist in selling and fulfilling customer orders.
• Partner with store teams and community partners to host events that drive sales.
• Maintain store presentation and ensure fitting rooms are ready for customers.
• Receive and set up new merchandise according to visual guidelines.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of selling or customer experience preferred.
• Good understanding of the products being sold and ability to provide expert guidance to customers.
• Comfortable communicating with customers virtually, via phone, and in person.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and achieve sales goals.
• Familiarity with point of sale technology and applications.
• Self-driven to keep up with product knowledge and trends.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
