About the position

As a Retail Customer Experience Associate at Macy's, you will focus on enhancing the customer experience by providing personalized service and driving sales across various platforms. This role requires a proactive approach to meet customer needs, whether in-store or online, and involves collaboration with peers and store leadership to create a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by selling merchandise and addressing customer needs in-store and online.
  • Assist customers with product recommendations based on size, fit, and style, utilizing product knowledge and digital resources.
  • Engage with customers to build relationships and enhance their shopping experience using outreach tools and social media.
  • Collaborate with store team and community partners to organize and promote virtual and in-store events.
  • Maintain store presentation and ensure fitting rooms are ready for customers by managing merchandise effectively.
  • Perform store opening and closing procedures, including alarm system access and register settlement.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of selling or customer experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of product knowledge to provide expert guidance to customers.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers virtually, via phone, and in person.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and achieve sales goals.
  • Familiarity with point of sale technology and applications.

  • Experience in retail sales or customer service roles.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
