About the position

As a leader in our store, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store, ensuring that every customer receives prompt and courteous service. You will be instrumental in promoting our loyalty programs and fostering a culture of honesty and integrity among your team. In this position, you will take an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front-end principles, helping them to personalize the customer experience while effectively promoting our loyalty programs. You will manage the assignment of registers, support POS coverage needs, and coordinate breaks for all Associates to ensure smooth operations. Addressing customer concerns promptly and ensuring a positive experience will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also ensure that Associates execute tasks according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed, and communicate effectively with both management and team members. Your leadership will extend to providing recognition and constructive feedback to your team, partnering with management to identify training needs, and ensuring compliance with all labor laws and store policies. You will play a vital role in promoting safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment for both customers and Associates. This position is not just about managing tasks; it’s about creating a positive atmosphere where both customers and team members feel valued and engaged. Responsibilities

  • Promote an excellent customer experience.
  • Oversee a team of Associates at the front of the store.
  • Engage and interact with customers to maintain a clean and organized store.
  • Model outstanding customer service.
  • Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity; maintain confidentiality.
  • Train and mentor Associates on front-end principles.
  • Coach Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs.
  • Assign registers and support POS coverage needs; coordinate breaks for Associates.
  • Address customer concerns and issues promptly.
  • Ensure Associates execute tasks according to store plan; prioritize as needed.
  • Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs.
  • Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
  • Capable of multi-tasking.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Able to train others.
  • 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
