About the position

The Retail Customer Experience Coordinator at Marshalls is responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of associates at the front of the store. This role involves engaging with customers, maintaining store organization, and ensuring prompt service while promoting loyalty programs. The coordinator leads by example, trains associates, and addresses customer concerns to create a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Promote an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store.
  • Engage and interact with customers to maintain a clean and organized store.
  • Role model outstanding customer service and create a positive internal and external customer experience.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Train and mentor Associates on front end principles and personalizing the customer experience.
  • Assign registers, support POS coverage needs, and coordinate breaks for Associates.
  • Address customer concerns and issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure Associates execute tasks according to store plan and prioritize as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback to and from Associates.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs and support store shrink reduction goals.
  • Maintain a safe environment and promote safety awareness.

Requirements

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and strong communication skills.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Able to train others with at least 1 year of retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
