About the position

As a Retail Customer Experience Coordinator at Marshalls, you will play a pivotal role in promoting an excellent customer experience while overseeing a team of associates at the front of the store. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that customers receive prompt and courteous service, while also promoting loyalty programs that enhance customer engagement. You will lead by example, engaging with customers and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This position is not just about managing tasks; it’s about creating a positive internal and external customer experience that reflects the values of Marshalls. In this role, you will actively participate in training and mentoring associates on front-end principles, ensuring they are equipped to personalize the customer experience effectively. You will assign registers, support POS coverage needs, and coordinate breaks for all associates, ensuring smooth operations at the front of the store. Addressing customer concerns and issues promptly will be crucial to maintaining a positive shopping experience, and you will be expected to communicate effectively with both management and associates to set and address priorities. Your leadership will also extend to promoting a culture of honesty and integrity within the team, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures. You will support store shrink reduction goals and promote safety awareness, maintaining a safe environment for both customers and associates. Responsibilities

  • Promote an excellent customer experience.
  • Oversee a team of Associates at the front of the store.
  • Engage and interact with customers to maintain a clean and organized store.
  • Role model outstanding customer service.
  • Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity; maintain confidentiality.
  • Train and mentor Associates on front-end principles.
  • Coach Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs.

  • Ensure Associates execute tasks according to store plan; prioritize as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs.
  • Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
  • Capable of multi-tasking.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Able to train others.
  • 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
