About the position

The position is responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience while overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store. The individual in this role will ensure prompt and courteous customer service, as well as the promotion of loyalty programs. Leading by example, the candidate will engage and interact with all customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role requires modeling outstanding customer service and creating a positive internal and external customer experience. In addition to customer interaction, the position involves promoting a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality. The candidate will take an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front-end principles, coaching them on how to personalize the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs. Responsibilities also include assigning registers, supporting and responding to POS coverage needs, and coordinating breaks for all Associates. The individual will address customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience. The role requires ensuring that Associates execute tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed. Effective communication with management and Associates is crucial when setting and addressing priorities, as well as providing progress updates. The candidate will provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, partnering with management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness. Adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures is essential, along with promoting credit and loyalty programs, supporting store shrink reduction goals, and maintaining a safe environment. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Available to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques
  • Capable of multi-tasking
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Able to train others
  • 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience
