About the position

As a Retail Customer Experience Coordinator at Marshalls, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience by actively training and mentoring Associates on front-end principles. Your responsibilities will include coaching Associates on how to personalize the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs. You will be responsible for assigning registers, supporting and responding to POS coverage needs, and coordinating breaks for all Associates to ensure smooth operations. Addressing customer concerns and issues promptly is essential to ensure a positive customer experience, and you will be expected to ensure that Associates execute tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed. Effective communication is key in this role, as you will need to communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, providing progress updates as necessary. You will also be responsible for providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback to foster a positive work environment. Partnering with management on Associate training needs will be crucial to increase effectiveness and ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures. In addition to these responsibilities, you will promote credit and loyalty programs, support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, and promote safety awareness to maintain a safe environment. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making flexibility and adaptability important traits for this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1 year of retail experience
  • 6 months of leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques
  • Capable of multi-tasking
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Able to train others
