About the position

The position involves overseeing a team of Associates at Marshalls Store 0451, ensuring an excellent customer experience through prompt and courteous service. The role emphasizes leadership by example, engaging with customers, maintaining store organization, and promoting loyalty programs. The individual will also be responsible for training and mentoring Associates, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Promote an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of Associates.
  • Engage and interact with customers to maintain a clean and organized store.
  • Model outstanding customer service and create a positive customer experience.
  • Train and mentor Associates on front end principles and personalized customer service.
  • Assign registers and coordinate breaks for Associates while supporting POS coverage needs.
  • Address customer concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure Associates execute tasks according to store plans and prioritize as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide recognition and constructive feedback to Associates.
  • Partner with management on training needs to increase Associate effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs and support store shrink reduction goals.
  • Maintain a safe environment and promote safety awareness.

Requirements

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and strong communication skills.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to train others with at least 1 year of retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
