About the position

The Retail Customer Experience Coordinator at Marshalls is responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store. This role emphasizes customer service, loyalty program promotion, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The Coordinator leads by example, engages with customers, and ensures that Associates are trained and supported in delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive internal and external customer experience.
  • Oversee a team of Associates ensuring prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Engage and interact with customers to maintain a clean and organized store.
  • Train and mentor Associates on front end principles and customer experience personalization.
  • Assign registers and coordinate breaks for Associates while supporting POS coverage needs.
  • Address customer concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure Associates execute tasks according to store plans and prioritize as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide recognition and constructive feedback to Associates.
  • Partner with management on training needs for Associates to increase effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs and support shrink reduction goals.
  • Maintain a safe environment and promote safety awareness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year of retail experience
  • 6 months of leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Team player capable of training others
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
