About the position

The Retail Customer Experience Coordinator at Marshalls is responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store. This role involves engaging with customers, maintaining store organization, and ensuring prompt and courteous service. The Coordinator leads by example, trains and mentors Associates, and addresses customer concerns to foster a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive internal and external customer experience.
  • Oversee a team of Associates at the front of the store to ensure prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Engage and interact with customers to maintain a clean and organized store.
  • Train and mentor Associates on front end principles and customer service.
  • Assign registers and coordinate breaks for Associates while supporting POS coverage needs.
  • Address customer concerns and issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure Associates execute tasks according to store plans and prioritize as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide recognition and constructive feedback to Associates.
  • Partner with management on training needs to enhance Associate effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs and support shrink reduction goals.
  • Maintain a safe environment and promote safety awareness.

Requirements

  • 1 year of retail experience
  • 6 months of leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Ability to train others
