About the position

The Retail Customer Experience Coordinator at TJ Maxx is responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of associates at the front of the store. This role involves engaging with customers, maintaining store organization, and ensuring adherence to company policies while fostering a positive shopping environment. The coordinator leads by example, trains associates, and addresses customer concerns to enhance loyalty and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Promote an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store.
  • Engage and interact with customers to maintain a clean and organized store.
  • Role model outstanding customer service and create a positive internal and external customer experience.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Train and mentor Associates on front end principles and personalizing the customer experience.
  • Assign registers, support POS coverage needs, and coordinate breaks for Associates.
  • Address customer concerns and issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure Associates execute tasks according to store plan and prioritize as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide recognition and constructive feedback to Associates.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs and support store shrink reduction goals.
  • Maintain a safe environment and promote safety awareness.

Requirements

  • 1 year of retail experience
  • 6 months of leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Ability to train others
