About the position

As a Retail Customer Experience Coordinator at Marshalls, you will play a pivotal role in promoting an excellent customer experience while overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that customers receive prompt and courteous service, while also actively promoting loyalty programs. You will lead by example, engaging with customers and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This position is not just about managing tasks; it’s about creating a positive atmosphere for both customers and team members alike. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a positive internal and external customer experience. You will promote a culture of honesty and integrity, ensuring that confidentiality is maintained at all times. Training and mentoring Associates on front-end principles will be a key part of your duties, as you will coach them on how to personalize the customer experience while effectively promoting loyalty programs. You will also be tasked with assigning registers, supporting POS coverage needs, and coordinating breaks for all Associates, ensuring that the store operates smoothly. Addressing customer concerns and issues promptly will be essential to ensuring a positive customer experience. You will ensure that Associates execute tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed. Effective communication with management and Associates will be crucial as you set and address priorities, providing progress updates as necessary. You will also be responsible for providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback, fostering a supportive team environment. Additionally, you will partner with management to identify Associate training needs to increase effectiveness and ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures. Promoting credit and loyalty programs, supporting store shrink reduction goals, and maintaining a safe environment will also be part of your responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and engaging role within the Marshalls team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Available to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques
  • Capable of multi-tasking
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Able to train others
  • 1 year retail experience
  • 6 months of leadership experience
