About the position

The Retail Customer Experience Lead at Marshalls is responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store. This role emphasizes customer service, loyalty program promotion, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The Lead engages with customers, trains and mentors Associates, and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures, all while fostering a culture of honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive customer experience and oversee a team of Associates at the front of the store.
  • Engage and interact with customers to model outstanding customer service.
  • Train and mentor Associates on front end principles and personalizing the customer experience.
  • Assign registers, support POS coverage needs, and coordinate breaks for Associates.
  • Address customer concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure Associates execute tasks according to store plans and prioritize as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide recognition and constructive feedback to Associates.
  • Partner with management on training needs to enhance Associate effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs and support shrink reduction goals.
  • Maintain a safe environment and promote safety awareness.

Requirements

  • 1 year of retail experience
  • 6 months of leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Team player capable of training others
