About the position

The Retail Customer Service Associate II at IKEA is responsible for creating a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate transactions and providing exceptional service. This part-time role focuses on meeting customer needs, solving problems, and building loyalty through meaningful interactions. The associate will also assist with returns and exchanges, ensuring a smooth process for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Creates a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate transactions and/or orders.
  • Records information accurately for future analysis to improve customer shopping experiences.
  • Meets customers' needs and solves problems independently, escalating to a manager when necessary.
  • Builds loyalty by ensuring a positive customer journey during the IKEA shopping experience.
  • Builds emotional connections through meaningful and empathetic interactions with customers.
  • Provides customers with a simple and efficient handout experience when scheduled in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO).
  • Offers and sells services to customers during the handover process when needed.
  • Ensures a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience, collecting high-quality data for follow-up.

Requirements

  • 1 year sales or customer service experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
