About the position

The Retail Customer Service Associate at FedEx is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by utilizing consultative skills to understand and meet customer needs. This role involves managing various store functions, including taking orders, providing product information, and operating equipment related to printing and shipping services. The associate will also ensure a clean and safe retail environment while assisting in training team members and maintaining store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a positive customer experience by understanding and anticipating customer needs.
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs, graphics, and shipping product lines.
  • Take complex customer orders and provide accurate pricing information.
  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping, including wrapping and labeling.
  • Set up and operate printing and binding equipment using customer-supplied media.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly retail store environment.
  • Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS).
  • Stay current on retail store merchandising materials and ensure proper product display.
  • Complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 6+ months of specialized experience in a retail or customer service environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
