About the position

The Retail Customer Service Associate at FedEx Office is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by utilizing consultative skills to understand and meet customer needs. This role involves managing various store functions, including taking orders, providing product information, and operating equipment. The associate will also handle financial transactions and ensure a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs.
  • Take orders and provide pricing and product information to customers.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including printing and shipping tools.
  • Assist in training new team members and support store functions as needed.
  • Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal, including cash handling.
  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer data and handle documents with care.
  • Stay current on retail merchandising materials and ensure proper product display.
  • Complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 6+ months of specialized experience in a customer service role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves
