About the position

We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our team, responsible for assisting customers, providing excellent service, and driving sales in a retail environment. The ideal candidate will engage with customers, operate cash registers, maintain the sales floor, and enhance the shopping experience through exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to offer assistance and answer questions
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
• Recommend products to customers and upsell when appropriate
• Assist in restocking merchandise and monitoring inventory levels
• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers
• Proficient in cash handling procedures and operating a cash register
• Ability to upsell products to increase sales
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating discounts
• Knowledge of retail math concepts such as calculating discounts, profit margins, etc.
• Supervisory experience is beneficial but not required
