About the position
The Retail Customer Service Cashier at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores plays a vital role in providing fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers in a fast-paced environment. This position involves various customer service duties, cash register operations, and maintaining cleanliness in the store. The role requires flexibility and teamwork, with opportunities for career development and cross-training in different departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide general customer service by assisting customers in finding items and answering questions about products and services.
- Balance a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities while adhering to state and local laws.
- Ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products using various methods and technology.
- Maintain cleanliness in the working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas/diesel pumps, including completing trash runs.
- Participate in cross-training for other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
Requirements
- Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
