About the position

The Retail Customer Service Cashier at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores plays a vital role in providing fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers in a fast-paced environment. This position involves various customer service duties, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety, while also offering opportunities for career development and growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions about products and services.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities while following all state and local laws.
• Using various methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
• Cleaning the direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Cross-training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain cleanliness.
• Flexibility and teamwork skills are important.
• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds.
• Ability to work in various temperatures.
