About the position

The cashier position at Love's involves providing fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in a fast-paced environment. Cashiers are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, assisting customers, and performing various duties based on business needs. The role emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to learn on the job, making it suitable for individuals with or without prior experience.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions about products and services.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities while following all state and local laws.
• Ensuring proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products using various methods and technology.
• Cleaning the direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.

Requirements

• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds.
• Ability to work in various temperatures.
