About the position

The Retail Customer Service Co-Worker II at IKEA is responsible for creating a positive customer experience through accurate transactions, problem-solving, and building emotional connections with customers. This full-time position emphasizes the importance of customer service and aims to enhance the shopping experience at IKEA by ensuring customer needs are met effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Creates a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate transactions and/or orders.
  • Records information accurately for future analysis to improve customer shopping experiences.
  • Meets customers' needs and solves problems independently, escalating to a manager when necessary.
  • Builds loyalty by ensuring a positive customer journey during the IKEA shopping experience.
  • Builds emotional connections through meaningful and empathetic interactions with customers.
  • Provides customers with a simple and efficient handout experience when scheduled in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO).
  • Offers and sells services to customers during the handover process when needed.
  • Facilitates a smooth returns and exchange experience while collecting high-quality data for follow-up when scheduled in returns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Entry-level position with under 1 year of experience in sales or customer service preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of sales or customer service experience preferred.
