About the position

McKenzie Glass is looking for a Retail Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional service to customers both in-person and over the phone. This role involves assisting with various tasks such as ordering materials, providing measurements, and managing deliveries, while also performing office duties related to customer service and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Greet customers and keep front lobby tidy
• Use a tape measure to measure products for customers
• Write estimates, work orders, and purchase orders in the Glass Manager program
• Scan, print, and fax documents
• Take payments (cash/credit card)
• Lift materials up to 75 lbs, including glass and other packages
• Cut glass
• Intake customers' glazing needs
• Repair, replace, or build customers' related glazing needs
• Receive and check-in daily orders/deliveries
• Manage glass and parts inventory
• Maintain cleanliness and operation of shop, office, and property
• Keep up maintenance of shop vehicles and company tools
• Deliver and pick up glass, parts, and paperwork as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must have great customer service skills
• Demonstrate an ability to learn new programs quickly
• Clean driving record required
• Preemployment drug testing required
• Ongoing random drug testing

Nice-to-haves

• Prior phone experience preferred but not required
• Prior glass cutting experience preferred but not required - training to be provided
• Previous accounting experience preferred but not required
• Construction background preferred but not required
• Forklift experience preferred but not required - training to be provided
