About the position

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at TJ Maxx is responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of associates at the front of the store. This role involves leading by example, promoting customer loyalty programs, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The supervisor plays a key role in training and mentoring associates, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Promote an excellent customer experience.
• Oversee a team of Associates at the front of the store.
• Engage and interact with customers to maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Train and mentor Associates on front end principles.
• Assign registers and coordinate breaks for Associates.
• Address customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure Associates execute tasks according to store plans.
• Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities.
• Provide recognition and constructive feedback to team members.
• Partner with management on training needs for Associates.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Maintain a safe environment and promote safety awareness.

Requirements

• 1 year of retail experience.
• 6 months of leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Ability to train others.
