About the position

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at Mustard Seed Market and Cafe is responsible for leading the Customer Service Department, ensuring excellent service to enhance business growth. This role involves managing associates, overseeing customer transactions, and maintaining internal controls to prevent cash losses.

Responsibilities

• Promotes teamwork, coaches, develops, and trains department associates.
• Minimizes turnover, promotes efficiency, and controls labor costs.
• Delegates work assignments effectively.
• Receives and manages incoming phone calls to the store.
• Assists customers with questions about products, availability, and location within the store.
• Maintains proper internal controls for all customer financial transactions.
• Responsible for balancing and reconciliation of all Cashier tills.
• Verifies and audits cash controls according to established procedures to identify and prevent cash losses.
• Notifies Scanning Department of all scanning issues and concerns.
• Notifies Store Leadership of loss prevention issues in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Follows established protocol and guidelines for opening and closing cash registers each day.
• Performs duties of Customer Service staff as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 2 years Front End experience.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience (desired).
• Excellent cash handling skills.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct and control.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills using the Windows operating system including internet, printing, and email.
• Basic usage of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• General knowledge of store products.
