About the position

The position at Marshalls Store 1053 involves executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring efficient processing by Associates. The role emphasizes providing an excellent customer experience through engagement and maintaining a clean store environment. The individual will also be responsible for training and mentoring Associates, orchestrating merchandise delivery, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards.
• Ensure Associates are processing efficiently and effectively as a team.
• Engage and interact with customers to ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Model exceptional customer service.
• Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing of merchandise onto the sales floor.
• Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty for efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
• Monitor productivity of the team and provide coaching as necessary.
• Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
• Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Uphold organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
• Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
• Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
• Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

• 1 year of retail experience.
• 6 months of leadership experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking and responding to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Team player, able to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to train others.
