Responsibilities

  • Execute receiving and merchandising standards.
  • Ensure Associates are processing efficiently and effectively.
  • Engage and interact with customers to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store.
  • Model exceptional customer service.
  • Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize merchandise processing onto the sales floor.
  • Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty for efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
  • Monitor productivity of the team and coach as necessary.
  • Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
  • Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
  • Uphold organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs.
  • Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and responding to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to train others.
  • 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
