About the position

The Retail Department Coordinator at Sierra Trading Post is responsible for leading the frontline team to ensure a highly-satisfied customer experience while promoting customer loyalty. This role involves training and mentoring associates, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The coordinator will work in various areas of the store as needed and is expected to contribute to a positive work environment that values diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Promote a highly-satisfied customer experience and drive customer loyalty.
• Train and mentor associates on register transactions and company policies.
• Address customer concerns and issues promptly.
• Maintain cash controls and monitor frontline equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and organizational standards throughout the frontline.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention policies.
• Promote a safe environment by reporting safety hazards.
• Execute and adhere to company directives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail or supervisory roles preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift heavy merchandise with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to train and provide direction to others.
• Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
