The Group Sales Manager at Bass Pro, LLC is responsible for supervising one or more Sales Departments within the store, focusing on merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, staff selection and development, and customer service activities. This role is pivotal in ensuring a strong commitment to world-class customer service, thereby creating a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. The Group Sales Manager is expected to meet or exceed all financial plans set by the company and execute all sales plans as directed. This includes opening and closing the store, obtaining "Manager on Duty" responsibilities, and maintaining planograms as set by the Corporate Office. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Group Sales Manager is tasked with staffing the departments with service-oriented associates. This involves participating in the interviewing and selection process, coordinating training, preparing and approving performance appraisals, recommending merit and promotional increases, and preparing weekly work schedules. The manager is also responsible for coaching and motivating associates to promote positive customer relations and foster a productive team-oriented work environment. Resolving customer and associate issues is a critical part of this role, ensuring that all interactions align with the company's policies and applicable laws. The Group Sales Manager is dedicated to providing a legendary experience for every customer by assisting them in making informed buying decisions. This includes identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations based on this analysis, and promoting various programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position requires a blend of leadership, customer service, and operational management skills to drive sales and enhance the overall customer experience.
