About the position
As a Retail Department Manager at Nike, you will serve as a coach and leader, responsible for guiding your team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive store growth. This role emphasizes the importance of teamwork, product knowledge, and community engagement, ensuring that both customers and team members feel valued and included. You will oversee daily operations, manage staffing, and implement strategies to enhance the customer experience while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team to ensure seamless store operations.
- Attract, assess, and onboard new team members.
- Equip employees with the necessary tools for success in their roles.
- Manage store performance metrics, including budgeting and customer service.
- Oversee product lifecycle from stockroom to sales floor.
Requirements
- Three years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience.
- One year of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and lead high-performing teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
