About the position
As a Retail Department Manager at Nike, you will serve as a coach and leader within the store, responsible for guiding your team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive store growth. This role emphasizes the importance of product knowledge, team training, and community engagement, ensuring that both customers and team members feel valued and included. You will manage various store functions, from staffing to visual merchandising, while fostering a positive and dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team to ensure all store functions run seamlessly.
- Attract, assess, and onboard new team members to maintain adequate staffing.
- Equip store employees with the necessary tools for success in their roles.
- Manage business results and critical metrics, including budgeting and sales.
- Oversee the product life cycle from stockroom to visual merchandising on the sales floor.
Requirements
- Three years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience.
- One year of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, build, and lead high-performing teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods.
