About the position

The Retail District Manager Unassigned at Dollar General Corporation is responsible for planning and leading the activities of all stores within the assigned area of operation. Additionally, the District Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of company objectives, maximizing performance and productivity through sensible store scheduling, and the total development of human capital. This includes proactive recruitment, selection, and education of employees and customers alike. The District Manager will also focus on protecting company assets through loss prevention strategies and expense efficiencies. Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the operational area is a key responsibility, which may involve improvements in distribution flow, merchandising display efforts, store growth, real estate site selection, and training and development priorities. Consistent and effective communication of divisional and regional priorities to store teams is essential to ensure alignment and success across all locations.
