The Retail District Manager Unassigned for Dollar General Corporation is responsible for overseeing the activities of all stores within the assigned area of operation, which includes Kansas City and its surrounding areas. This role encompasses full profit and loss responsibility, ensuring that all operations align with the company's objectives and policies to achieve divisional and regional goals. The District Manager will lead store teams by fostering a culture that embodies Dollar General's mission and values, ensuring fair administration of human resources policies and practices, and promoting superior customer service in a fun and friendly store environment. In this position, the District Manager will focus on driving annual sales growth that meets or exceeds company targets. This will be achieved through quality orders and efficient flow processes, ensuring that all tools are effectively utilized in each store to enhance inventory presentation and management. The role requires effective planning and execution of company objectives, maximizing performance and productivity through sensible store scheduling, and developing human capital through proactive recruitment, selection, and education of employees and customers. Additionally, the District Manager will be tasked with protecting company assets through loss prevention and expense efficiencies. They will identify and develop new business opportunities within the operational area, which may include improvements in distribution flow, merchandising display efforts, store growth, real estate site selection, recruiting strategies, training and development priorities, employee relations, customer service, and systems implementation. Consistent and effective communication of divisional and regional priorities to store teams is also a critical aspect of this role.
