About the position

As a Retail District Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the activities of all stores within your assigned area of operation. This position comes with full profit and loss responsibility, and you will be expected to operate within the scope of company objectives and policies to achieve divisional and regional goals. In this role, you will be responsible for driving annual sales growth that meets or exceeds company targets. You will also focus on the total development of human capital by proactively recruiting, selecting, and educating employees, while protecting company assets through loss prevention and expense efficiencies. Additionally, you will identify and develop new business opportunities within your operational area, which may include distribution flow improvements, merchandising display efforts, store growth, and real estate site selection. Consistent and effective communication of divisional and regional priorities to store teams will be essential to your success in this position. Your ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability will be key to achieving desired results.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Four+ years of retail management experience with progressively more responsibility.
  • Experience managing multi-unit operations in retail, grocery, or convenience store operations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated results-oriented leadership skills.
  • Financial analysis skills sufficient to interpret operating statements and manage budgets.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve objectives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in 'big-box' retail management or equivalent education and experience.
