About the position

As a Retail District Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the activities of all stores within your assigned area of operation. This position comes with full profit and loss responsibility, and you will be expected to operate within the scope of company objectives and policies to achieve divisional and regional goals. Your role will also involve planning and executing company objectives, maximizing performance and productivity through sensible store scheduling, and developing human capital through proactive recruitment, selection, and education of employees and customers. Additionally, you will identify and develop new business opportunities within your operational area, which may include distribution flow improvements, merchandising display efforts, store growth, real estate site selection, and training and development priorities. Consistent and effective communication of divisional and regional priorities to store teams will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Four or more years of retail management experience with progressively more responsibility.
  • Experience managing multi-unit operations in retail, grocery, or convenience store operations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience combination.
  • Demonstrated results-oriented leadership skills.
  • Strong financial analysis skills to interpret operating statements and manage budgets.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams to achieve objectives.

  • Experience in 'big-box' retail management.
