About The Position

The District Manager position at FirstCash involves overseeing multiple retail store locations within the Phoenix, Arizona district. The role requires a highly experienced professional with a strong background in multi-unit retail management. The District Manager will lead, develop, and coach Store Managers to ensure alignment with company goals and drive the success of each store. This position demands strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to foster positive community relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of management experience in a multi-unit environment, preferably in retail.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on team development.
  • Valid driver's license and personal transportation for frequent travel within the district.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and analyzing financial reports.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage and coach 6-8 Store Managers to ensure they meet or exceed company performance standards.
  • Lead district-level execution of company strategies, initiatives, and policies to achieve financial and operational objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong business partner relationships with Regional Managers, HR, and Corporate personnel.
  • Ensure consistent communication and alignment across the district between the Regional Manager and Store Managers.
  • Recruit top talent to enhance the skill level and performance of the district.
  • Develop leadership talent within your team by providing growth opportunities and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Conduct regular store visits (90%+ of the workweek) to monitor operations, coach teams, and ensure compliance.
  • Review district and store performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain competitive awareness and contribute to growth strategies within the district, including potential new store openings.
  • Manage district-level staffing, promotions, and personnel adjustments to optimize performance.
  • Foster positive community relationships and ensure each store upholds the company's reputation.
